It was one of those things that just happen, without much thought or planning. An empty can, some yarn and a couple of hours of free time.

The yarn is mystery yarn.  I think it has been in my mum’s house for the last 15 years.  I am guessing it is sports weight or a heavy fingering, but I can not confirm that.

I used less than half a partial skein.

Do you want to make one?

You will need:

A set of 2.5mm DPNs or circs

Some yarn (sport or fingering)

My gauge was 6 stitches/inch.

Cast on 60 stitches. Join in the round, making sure it doesn’t twist.

Round 1: Knit

Round 2: Purl

Round 3: Knit

Round 4: Purl

Round 5 and 6: Knit

Round 7 and 8: *Knit 1, Purl 1*

Round 9 and 10: Knit

Round 11 and 12: *Purl 1, Knit 1*

Repeat rounds 5-12 until the knitting is almost the same length as your can.

Repeat rounds 1 to 4 once. Bind off and weave in all ends.

Now your can is nice and cozy and can keep your pens, pencils and scissors all in the same place.
