The Amal Headwrap

On February 11th, the Egyptians managed to finally topple a dictator. For 18 days they stood their ground and peacefully demonstrated and protested.

This pattern is called ‘Amal’ which means hope in Arabic, because right now we all have a lot of hope that things can and will definitely get so much better.

I am not particularly fond of headbands because they are either too tight or too loose, I prefer something I can tie.
This is a really simple pattern, perfect for knitting in front of the tv while watching the news and worrying (or hopefully not).

Amal Headwrap.

It is pretty versatile, you can make it as long or as short as you need. The size I made is 98cm long and fits both myself and my 3 year old ( maybe she has a big head?)
I even started making another one.
