My daughter turned 4 yesterday and I cast on a pair of socks for her.
Just basic ribbed socks. I so love knitting socks for her, the first one was done last night too and I cast on the second one this morning. I am going to put them down and go work on the other two WIPs I have but I hope to get these done soon.
What kind of yarn you use for socks? I want to make a pair for my three years old but not sure what would be the best yarn for her. Kids are a bit sensitive about fabrics and materials.
Very nice pair, very nice colour too.
It is knit picks Stroll Tonal. It is soft but still quite sturdy and it is not really expensive either so you should definitely give it a shot.
The socks look lovely. One day I hope to master the art of knitting socks. Any suggestions as to where to start? 🙂
Well I guess you could try a simple ribbed top cuff down sock like this pattern http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-ribbed-socks
Toe up socks are cool too, but I feel that cuff down are slight easier for beginners.
Socks are an awesome project, highly portable and fairly quick compared to larger shawls and sweaters.
