I have been giving what I do a lot of thought and research lately. I have decided to fully embrace what I do and try and make and sell more things not just patterns and designs. I recently listed a bunch of rings on my etsy store.
The new logo is simple and might be slightly updated to add some color but I decided to share it anyway because I thought you might have some more suggestions. I know that all of my followers are crafty types who do different crafts and might have great ideas for me.
I also thought it might be time to explain where the name comes from. Back in 1991 when I was but a wee child I bought a comic book that had this recipe for chocolate covered peppermint candies and my mom let me try it out at home. It is probably one of my fondest memories. The feeling of making something from scratch mostly by my self was incredible. Not only that but also the idea of something sharp like mint coming together with chocolate has always captivated me. It still does. Perhaps it is the underlying inspiration of everything I do and try to create. To find the perfect balance between simplicity, sharpness and a little whimsy. In my designs I try to capture the essence of designing something practical, useful, looks like it took moe time than it really did but still very pretty. I was visiting my mom and the recipe is still on the fridge despite moves and many years since that day.
